Route Mint - the aromatic herb

The Mint family has a
wide variety and amongst them the most popular
is Spearmint - the culinary herb and Peppermint
- the popular medicinal and freshening herb.
Spearmint or 'Mint' as
it is commonly called, is native to the
temperate regions of Europe and its name
is derived from "Minthes", as
mentioned in Greek mythology.
Mint
grown in our farms are harvested and dried
using a unique process to retain their distinct
aroma and pleasing light flavour that is
not pungent.
Mint is used widely in
kitchens as a good accompaniment to chicken,
pork and veal. It has myriad applications
- to flavour salads and sauces, chutneys,
stir fried vegetables and dishes like cold
soups and fruit mixes.
